I'm hoping someone out there can help me! I'm trying to do the homework for Lesson 2 but can't seem to make the manual adjustments work. I've read thru the instructions probably 10x's but can't get it to work!!! It's very frustrating, I'm hoping that someone out there knows something about the fuji cameras! I have a PDF of the instruction manual but ahhhhh it's not working!

If the PDF isn't opening, it's either corrupted or your reader is corrupted. Try reinstalling your reader. Then, go to the Fuji site and download the manual for your camera. Then, give it a try.

I have the S9600, the later version but much same as 9000. Can you describe the exact problems you are having. Also ensure you have the latest version of Adobe reader as I have found that some PDF manuals will not work properly with earlier versions of the reader.

I just re-read my post, and I can see that it was confusing, I can read my PDF, but what they're telling me to do isn't working. My control knob will not change anything. Not the flash type, not the ISO, nothing. I've got the batteries out right now, hoping that it will somehow re-set itself, if not i'm afraid i'll have to bring it to fuji.

Just thinking some more on your query. On the s9600, the F button just to the side of the lcd screen allows changes to quality, (pixel size), ISO and colour mode, (std, chrome,b&w). Other features can be changed by scrolling down through the menu ( centre of 4way wheel at back of camera. there are a large range of options depending on which mode the camera is in, capture or display. Hope this helps.
