I'm sorry I just had to say it!! LOL
I'm Anita from Acton, Ontario, Canada. I've taken previous photo classes (way back in the day, it think 20yrs??) with a old SLR.
Digital is so much easier, at least you don't have to pay a forturne to see that on 1 or 2 of the 48 pictures you took actualoy worked!
I bought a Fuji FinePix S9000 camera almost 2 yrs ago now, after a trip to Red Rock Canyon in Nevada. The whole trip I swore I would get a better camera and go back.
Well I got the better camera, now I just have to learn how to use it!:) and then go back!
But I guess that's why I joined. Looking forward to learning and sharing.
Sorry, a little wordy...

Welcome Anita -

I don't think we have anyone from Canada yet. You'll learn a lot not only from the course, but from those of us on the board. We have a great group, very friendly and willing to help.

I was in Red Rock and Valley of Fire in March of last year - very beautiful.

Look forward to seeing some of your pictures.

Thank you everyone for the welcome! I look forward to being in a community of like minded people! Were are you Mary with the 8 inches of snow? Our school buses just got cancelled again today... but I love snow! Just wish the sun would come out afterward to be able to take some great shots!!! LOL

I'm in far northwest Missouri....about 40 miles south of the Iowa line and I have to update the snow...we now have 10 inches here at home and my route (which goes northwest from here to the Iowa line) has anywhere from 12 to 14, depending on how far north you go and like you, we have no sunshine to take shots with...yesterday, I made half my customers happy and half of them disappointed....couldn't get on the gravels or the secondary blacktops.

I looked the other morning and noticed my ears were starting to grow longer....:D

I pleased 'most' of the other half today...still not completely caught up but getting closer...what I wouldn't give for dry ground and sunshine....:)

Hi, I visited your famous Falls about 7 years ago (awesome) - but did not make any great images. Next time I visit I hope to do them justice - the postcards are still on my refrigerator. I am really excited about doing this course.

Welcome Anita -

I don't think we have anyone from Canada yet.

Well, the last time I looked Quebec had not yet separated from the rest of Canada! :p
Kidding aside, its hard to tell, locations are not evidently visible from the main page.

Welcome Anita, its a swell bunch here for sure. :)

Ya, after that was said I thought I saw a fellow Canadian! Glad you guys are still with us! LOL

Niagara Falls is beautiful, I was hoping we would have a really cold snap so that they would freeze and I could go and get some kewl pics! Oh well, winter isn't over yet! :D

Thanx again for all the welcomes!

Ready nothing... I heard benji secretly planning to take over the place but we need a rubber band, a fountain pen and 3 wooden matches to complete the nuclear powered photo taking device. :p :D
