Hi all,

Well I finally persuaded my other half to part with the cash for me to do a photography course!

I have been wanting to move from snapshots to serious photography for a while, but time has always been tight - so has the wallet.

See you all around

Indeed it is Gordon:D:D

Welcome Steve, I'm sure you will find that the expence is well worth it. I'm from Staffordshire in the UK so not too far from you.

Hope you have fun.

Welcome to the forum, Steve, and the course. I'm a Sony a100 user too...love it when I can get it to do what its suppose to do....hoping the course will help me with that.

Will be looking forward to seeing your photos.

Thank you one and all.

I,ve only been a member for a few days and already I have screwed up the gallery!!

I created some categories thinking that they were for my gallery only, now I have other people posting into them.

I will have to get the admin to sort it out!!

Hi Steve, when you create new categories in the Gallery, you need to set your own permissions as a category owner if you don't want other people to upload photos into them or want to have categories only for yourself. See screenshot of a Category admin below. Note the options marked in red:

You can even set your own password if you wish to protect your images. I've modified your category options for you so that others couldn't upload in your categories any more, but they can still see them.
