Hello everyone!
I've been working on shooting B&W for Assignment 7. Since you can only submit one picture, I'm very nervous about it. I've uploaded the pictures I'm considering to my gallery, could you please tell me which one you think I should submit? And if there's an "almost" picture, could you give me some suggestions on how to fix it? I have the originals in color, and I could always re-edit it to make it more dramatic.
Thank you so much!

Wow - you're cruising right along. I didn't realize Lesson 7 was B&W as I am taking a B&W class now. Guess I'll have to get a picture submitted as well. As for submitting one of yours - I love the "soaked" picture. This one turned out very well.

Kim, I have not read Lesson 7 yet so I am not sure what the lesson says with reagards B&W and what they require for submission of a good picture however, my favorite is Rocky Path 2. You have some great shots there and it looks like you have lots of interesting surrounds around you to shoot.

I like them all, but the first two really stand out nicely. Don't be nervous, we are all here to learn and if for some reason you upload something not to your satisfaction, you can upload another one and you will be re-graded on your latest entry... though with these pics, your grades will be very good!

Thanks guys for your input and encouragement! I've submitted a picture and am waiting for feedback. I guess on this assignment it won't let you go on to #8 until it's been graded!

There is nothing stopping you from starting to read assignment 8, at least it was not the case for me.
Feel free to get a head start on #8 if you want. Also, something that you can do is that if you are not satisfied with your assignment grade and using the input of the instructor, you can resubmit another picture for an increased grade. Resubmitting is permitted on all but the final assignment. :)

Make sure you check the levels to make sure there is a wide range of tones. Make sure there are absolute blacks, far left, and whites, far right. Do some adjusting to make sure the tones on the levels scale are all present. That's one thing they are looking for in the B&W photo.
