Here's a few shots I fired off last week in my local public park. I didn't have my long lens with me, hence the smaller shot of the squirell. I've cropped a lot to bring up the size.

I like them all, Eddie but the first one is outstanding. Nice job!

Eddie -
I love the waterfall. One of my goals this summer to conquer waterfalls and get that silky look. Very good job.

I love your waterfall. I think the composition could be improved and dynamic if the waterfall was move off-centered. Rule of Thirds. Your other shots are nice too, but also center the subjects a little too much. Nice images, and I can hardly wait to see grass again when I life.

Many thanks Joseph, your comments are very welcome and advice on composition is noted, just have to get my mind tuned in and remember these very good points when getting shots. I know I've been guilty of quantity rather than quality and bad habits are hard to break.
Regards and thanks also to Gary and Debbie for their comments.

Use higher f-stop, 18-22 if I remember right.

For that misty looking water a longer shutter is required.

Beautiful waterfall...I'm going to have to really search for a waterfall around here...we have a small one in Brooklyn but its pretty frozen over right now...I'll try and capture an image this spring when its flowing at its max.
I also really like the weed image...totally sharp.

Hi Janine, the way I capture those water shots is to use a slow shutter speed, down to 15th sec or even slower, the slower will give an even better milky look that I keep trying to get.

Hi Mary thanks for taking time to comment, the weed is in fact a new sappling growing from an old shrub root, I think may be a wild laurel, which grows in abundance in the park.

Good shots, I especially like the Waterfall shot, that is one of my aims, to get some good waterfall shots, I'd be very happy with a shot like that.

When it gets warmer I want to go back to Niagra Falls again to get some more photos. When I went last time I did not have a very nice camera, so I really didn't take many photos. I would rather go there when it is warmer because of the wind.

Sue -
I don't recall, do you live close to Niagara Falls??

It takes about 3 and a half hours for us to drive there depending on how traffic is.

Well - it's closer than me. I will have to add Niagara on my places to visit before I die.

How far away are you from Niagra Falls?

I live just north of Minneapolis, MN, so I think that makes me about 2 days from Niagara Falls if I drive.

Great shots Eddie, I love the waterfall one. Especially where it is bouncing off the rock and you can see the motion it has captured.
