I've said it before Gary and I will say it again, the colours of your birds over there are great.
Was it raining when you took this pic, I can see a few spots on the window? :D

It's snowing, Andy. I took this about an hour ago. It's still snowing.

Nice pic Gary. Was wondering what ISO setting you are using for these shots. A few of them are coming out grainy on my end. It may just be the upload size, I don't know. Nice shots.

Nice pic! This time I note a little overall graniness to the picture, perhaps from either a touch oversharpening or the attept of a program like Noise Ninja to reduce noise and sharpen a little excessively? Then again it could also be from shooting through a window too.

In your info it states sharpness and contrast as "Hard". Is this an internal camera setting that auto edits?

This one looks better, not that the first one looked bad in any way. BTW, how could you tell it was female from that distance? (ha-ha).

Color, Jerry. The males are a BRILLIANT, vibrant red and black. Here's a male.

Does it show that I know nothing about birds?
Here I was thinking things like beak color or what not (the what not being a skirt or pants somewhere... lol)

I didn't notice much difference between the two pictures Gary. (Not the male and female one)

I didn't notice much differance either in the 2 male pics. The second was larger, and the blue plastic on the feeder shows a little less noise. Now the male photo has a lot less noise in it. It also has more avalible light which helps. But there must be a differance in the setting that between pics. The male photo shows much less noise and is a beautiful shot.
