Funny, I asked my boss (me) the same thing. We both *heartily* agree that we need to move somewhere for 6 months of the year that the average temperature is over 60 degrees. I just don't know how I could organize this!! haha

I just came in the house from helping my hubby 'move' snow..we have a snow blower on the riding mower but the snow was SO wet that it wouldn't blow, so he moved it like a blade and I shoveled and it took us an hour to clear the driveway. If he blows it off, it only takes him 30 minutes without my help. I've never seen snow this heavy in Feb. In April, yes, but not this time of year. We must have got close to 7 inches and that was on top of 4 inches that was still hanging around from the last snow.
You know the email that always goes around about the family that moves to MN or Montana or some other winter state and he goes on about the first 'beautiful' snowfall and then it continues on to the next 30 snows and he ends up in jail for shooting the snow remover man? Well, that just might be me and Bill....sitting in a cell together.:D:D:D

If it's any consolation, the temps will drop tonight and it looks like we'll get some flurries tomorrow or Tuesday. :( Seems we always get your weather a couple days later only less severe. Do me a favor -- keep it there!:D

Holy Cow Mary -

MN should be getting all that snow, the last few years, we haven't been able to buy a snowstorm. My heart goes out to you. And I just got off the phone with hubby, went to Houston for business and it's 70 and sunny. I told him to make sure he brings some of that tomorrow when he comes home. And Mary, I think you should share with Gary, my mommy told me to share as well.

As for the email that goes around?? Yeah, I've seen that one too. It's pretty the first of the season (Nov) and by the end of December, I'm tired of the cold and whatever snow we have. March is our snowiest month, around hockey and basketball tournaments, so I have a lot to look forward to.

Oh joy, I can hardly wait!

If I hadn't been so busy this weekend, I could have been on a beach in Galvaston - should have rescheduled everything. My husband just sent a picture of the hotel he's staying at, there's a palm tree and SUN!!!!

I'm thinking we have switched states or something and didn't realize it...I don't think this winter is ever going to get over...

We have piles about that high here too...and last night from about 6 pm till 7am, it rained almost an inch. Then it turned to this white crap and within an hour and a half, we had 4 or 5 inches on the ground. It snowed for another 4 hours but wasn't as heavy as it was at first. Our next round is to come in this coming Thurs...they will have me in a straight jacket by the end of Feb.

It wouldn't take much convincing for me to have went with him....I'm thinking of getting away from here as soon as I can...course, I'd have to quit my job, go on welfare, convince my kids that they could travel to see me...:D:D

Now there's a novel thought - just like swapping houses we could swap jobs for 6 months of the year. You come live and work my job in Australia and I go over to where you live and work your job - that way I get to experience the snow and you get the heat we experience...now just need to find someone who can do my job.

Humm and your job is? I just might take you up on that...at least for one year until you decided snow wasn't as pretty as it is in pictures when you have to walk, drive, and shovel it...:)

Blimey, all that snow, are you sure you are not an eskimo! When we have snow, it comes down for about 1/2 a day, there is a slight sprinkling, maybe a couple of inches at the most, the whole traffic infrastructure dies, no one can go anywhere without it taking four times as long as a normal, the next day, it is all wet, muddy slush and then we carry on as normal!!

It's the same thing in some of our southern states. They get 10 flurries and everything shuts down. And in MN, everytime it snows, you would think most drivers have forgotten how to drive.

Kim, you would not believe how tempting that offer is....we had snow again on Thurs. Not a lot, just an inch or two, but enough to make me pull my hair out...so far we are sitting at 59 inches for the season and our normal is 20 inches. And then, it usually snows, warms up and melts, snows, warms up...etc...Not this year, we have literally had snow on the ground since the 21st of November. Not only does it snow but its stayed well below freezing most of the winter. Yesterday, it finally warmed up above freezing and melted some but it has a lot more snow to melt and they are calling for rain, changing over to snow on Monday. Ugh....come on Spring!

Still no snow here in the UK! Ahhh Well, never mind. I'll have to get some polystyrene little balls, put them all over the back yard and then take some pictures and pretend I have snow! At least it will be warmer than the real stuff.
