Please don't think this is a silly question - When I was using my camera today I had a thermometer icon appear on the screen, this is the first time I have
seen this.

Checked my camera manual when I got home hoping to find an explanation but couldn't.

Could someone please let me know what it means and what I should do if it happens again.

Thanks

Hi Honeybee, and welcome to the forums.

Are you sure it is not a little icon that appears when your battery is running low? ... or purely showing you how much charge is left in your battery? Normally it will show in green.

If not this, then perhaps you could tell us a bit more what it looked like, and what camera and model you have.

Hi Kaye thanks for the warm welcome.

The camera I use is a Pentax K-x. It was definitely a green thermometer on the left hand side of the screen and not my battery indicator as this appears on the right.
Only appear when using live view.

I wondered if it had something to do with temperature?

Thanks for your help.

Thanks Kaye

I did check the website out and is very helpful. I had checked the web but hadn't come across this.

Wish the manual had all that detail.

Thanks once again for your help.
