These are just beautiful, Kaye. The colors are so rich and vivid and the detail is fantastic as always. While I like them all, I was really drawn to #1. Not only did I like the composition, but I also like how both of the flowers were in sharp focus. I wonder if you wouldn't mind sharing what your aperture was set at along with the physical distance from you to the flowers. Did you use a bit of flash on that one? It's gorgeous, I would hang that thing on the wall.

Kaye your florals are gorgeous, as usual. My favorites are the first and third. The details on that first shot are so sharp and the overall shot of the third is simply beautiful.

Thanks you so much Eddie for your compliments. The orchids in No. 1 were hanging in a nursery in a very dark spot. My settings for this shot were f/7.1 at 1/125sec, ISO200, with the Tamron 90mm. Yes I used flash... not sure now, but probably had compensation set to around -1.3 or similar. I did not want any "shiny" spots. I was probably around 1.5 meters from the orchids... I did not crop the shot so just far enough away to fit them in.

Thank you very much Marianne for your kind comments. I must say I was happy with the sharpness in No. 1.
When I saw this beautiful Magnolia tree with the late sunlight shining through from behind, I was unsure how it would turn out.

Hi Kaye I've been away for 2 weeks so missed these but really like #1 and 4. #1 for great composition & great focus on both flowers, good choice of DOF. #4 also has a lovely composition and the water drops add that bit extra IMO.

Hi Shirley,
I hope you had a love 2 weeks away. Thank you for your kind comments and feedback here. I was happy with #1, but did wonder whether #4 was a little dark. With this rich red color it seemed to 'blow out' with more lightening/brightening.
