This is a collage that I did for my son. They are getting married on October 18th.

Awesome idea, look and feel, but in all 3 you are lightly cutting into or cutting off body parts (lol).
A thing that I started to do a bit more of lately is always leave a little bit of room for creative cropping in my pics lately... and not filling the frame to the edges when I shoot. This gives me room to be creative later on in post processing.
I could see your idea as easily becoming the opening page to a family scrapbook, web page or even a wedding book cover. :)

Yeah when I put them on the template it gave it the soft white border and kinda cut off the body parts a little. They also had me crop the photos the way they wanted them.

I have to ask... are you going to be taking any pictures at their wedding? :D

Sue -
This is very nice. My DIL just asked if I could do a collage for the boys - do you use any special software for this?

I use photoshop. There are so many endless ideas! I think you can do it with just about any of the editing software. Jerry I did their engagement photos for the "save the date" cards, but for the wedding I didn't want to spend my time running around with a camera. After those photos last night I wouldn't anyway!

I have both Photoshop and Elements and if I go through some of my books, I think there is a tutorial on collage templates. Might be a good project for the weekend.
As for shooting the wedding - enjoy yourself that day. I think it would be too stressful and worrisome in greeting guests and trying to take pictues, as well as being the proud mom.

I have Photoshop CS2 and also elements 5 (I used the photoshop elements on this one) What you just said about the wedding photography is what I was thinking 100%! I do get a cd of the images with a full release, in case I want to make my own edits to them. (You pay for the full release that is for sure!)

Very nice Sue. I don't blame you not to be the official photography at your sons wedding. You will have enough to do without that!
Enjoy yourselves and all my best to the happy couple.
