Here is a shot i took this weekend of some flowers my wife bought.
Pic info ISO3200 55mm F/16 1/25sec taken with the cramra flash and i had a couple of candles light on the table. Forgot to add that i used Lightroom 3 to edit the color and brighten it up some.
Nash, what beautiful flowers and brilliant colors, and love the white tips.
Did you take this outside in the daylight or sunshine?
I was just wondering why you used such a high ISO for this shot, which has created some noise. Also, when I use flash on floral, I normally keep the ISO fairly low.
All this is dependent upon the light, but if outside with nice light, a floral shot like this I would probably try at ISO200, F8 and say 1/125sec or more. If it was very dark, then this will change all.

Thank Kaye
It was very dark our power went out and i was playing around taking pictures in the dark.
I think it's great when the power goes out... we get the candles out... can't sit on the computer and have nothing to do. SO, out comes the camera.
Maybe turn the lights off one night and try this again with a lower ISO and compare different settings, as a larger aperture will allow you much more light.
