View Full Version : Hereford Bull in Hyde Park!
On Australia Day (26th Jan), there were many festivities in Hyde Park in the city.
Here are a few candid portraits of a Hereford bull who was a huge attraction this day.
No. 2 I added to my FAA site so I could enter it in a competition.
It didn't win the competition, but to my surprise, someone bought a greeting card of this close up shot today:D

and, just for fun, a canine shot... my sister's dog who nearly ate my camera:D

Very nice series of shots Kaye, with very nice details. I like no 1. Love the expression of the bull, and looks like the man didn't want his picture taken hehe.. Do you have a picture of the event situation? I can imagine how crowded it was. Thanks for sharing these Kaye, and congrats on the selling of the card. It's sure an interesting picture.

Thank you so much Tenny for your comments. The bull did look so docile and cute (if you can call something this big cute):D
He got lots of pats on the day. The guy just happened to have his head down when I took this shot.... he was there for around 2 hours having shots taken with a long queue of people.
It is a huge park, Tenny... I may have a couple of pics that give an idea of the festivities of the day, but everything was sort of separated. I mainly came to the park to get vintage car shots as their was a car show also.
Thanks also for the congrats on the card sale. Out of all my pretty images, someone buys a card of a bull's mouth:D
I will post a couple more here soon.
Hi again Tenny,
I said above I would look to see what shots I have to show more of the events in the whole park... don't have many (as my concentration that day was on cars), but will just post a few that show a little more. The first shot is when they took the fence down around the bull... I thought he might have taken off!
The fountain in the centre of Hyde Park is beautiful. I have more close ups of this when I get time to do a quick edit.

Kaye, congratulations on your sale! I can see why it sold - excellent detail, especially on that tongue, and composition.

Thank you Eddie. I too was happy with the detail in this shot.... just found it an unusual (or surprise) card sale. I have sold a few cards, but no prints yet.
BTW, I would like to congratulate you for your sale today of your shot "Santa Monica Pier at Dusk". It is beautiful.
