During my weekend on the N. Shore, I was blessed to be able to get close to The Little Spirit Cedar Tree, also known as The Witch Tree. This old oak tree is growing out of the rock along Lake Superior and is on ground considered sacred by Native Americans.

I would appreciate any comments anyone has on this picture as I want to use it for this month's photo club competion. BTW, I have to submit by tomorrow nite.:eek:

I really like this photo. It is something unusual that you do not see everyday. It is very pretty.

Ok, the cat's out of the bag ( :D ).

Go post it and tell us about this picture and where it's located. I sure would want to know more about this beautiful and unique looking tree!

Awesome photo, Debbie..good luck in the competition. I'm going to have to start doing some traveling...maybe after I retire. Right now, 9 hours a day behind the steering wheel, makes me cringe when anyone mentions driving somewhere on the weekends. I love the colors in your photo and yes indeed, God did a wonderful job building this! His carpenter skills are unmatched.

This tree is on sacred land in Grand Portage, MN. We were able to get close to the tree through a wonderful contact and were guided directly to the tree.

Well, I submit the picture tonite and I'll get results at the next meeting on March 20. Every month, there are two competitions, open and a theme. This will go in the open competition.

Okay - the results are in. This one took the most points last nite for the March "open" category. Thank you everyone for the encouragement.
