Greetings from Springfield, MO

I wanted to take a brief moment to introduce myself. My name is Larry and I live in Springfield, MO. I'm married to a beautiful lady and we have a wonderful daughter who will be graduating college in December.

I was first introduced to photography in the mid '80s. Enjoyed photography as a hobby for a couple of years and than put it on the shelf. I picked up a digital camera back in June '07 to take on our cruise vacation for our daughter's wedding. Now I'm hooked. I thought I would give the Proud Photography Course a try and to bring my photography up another level. Most of my friends, family and co-workers think I'm a pretty good photographer and do make money on the side doing portraits, but I wanted to advance my skills even more. Thus, I am here to try my hand at becoming a better photographer and meet some new friends.

Yahoo...another Missourian...I was a bit outnumbered.. I'm from north Missouri where it snows every other day until it finally melts and now we are drowning in mud...sorry to hear you have a snow storm coming your way tomorrow. Just keep it down there, ok?

My folks live down in by Lebanon and my brother lives in Lebanon, so we get down your way pretty often.

You will enjoy your stay here...looking forward to seeing some of your photos. It's a great bunch of people with a vast amount of information..

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome, nice to hear from everyone.

I just started the course yesterday and have worked through the first three lessons. The course looks like a really good beginner course and well laid out. The community here is seems very warm and friendly. A very good first impression.

Ladyups, we've had pretty much the same weather down here. Tuesday was 10 inches of snow, yesterday was warm and sunshine, tonight rain, sleet and snow. It's weather in the Ozarks.

You have some great images, Larry...I can see you really enjoy night photography. I really like the Little Rock cityscape..great capture of the city and the light trails. And that flower is awesome...beautiful light!
