Angel of the North

Just a quick snappy i took of the Angel of the North up near Newcastle - we were just passing so stopped for a quick point and shoot! unfortunately i did not think to take my proper camera along for the drive!! wish i had. the picture would have been much better i think - but still. it was amazing to see this. very impressive!!

That's another place I would love to visit. I bet it is breath taking standing by the statue with the sheer size of it.

I'm glad you have said that; I have driven past it quite a few times and have never felt compelled to visit as I was always 'let down'. It looked a lot smaller than I thought it was. But now you have said that, I think I will stop to have a look next time I pass!
