Of all the pictures I took on the N. Shore, this series is probably my favorite. On the way back, we also saw some eagles.

Mary -

This tree sits on the edge of Lake Superior growing out of rock in the Grand Portage Indian Reservation. Through a contact, I was able to get up close and personal, otherwise, you can only see the tree from a viewing station. I plan to go back this summer.

Let me when you want to come. The tree is now protected as it's on sacred ground. Too many people were ripping off bark, hanging items from the tree, etc, etc, etc so the Native Americans bought the land to keep it protected. If you want to see more, check this out. Thank you Sue. I've been thinking of posting links for the rest of the trip, but I don't want to bore everyone either. I took over 500 pictures. I'll look at and process a bunch, then leave it alone, it gets too overwhelming.

Oh heck scenery like that hardly ever gets boring! Set up a little slideshow like I did for my St. Patrick's day parade shots, that makes it more fun and convenient. :)
