Looks like it came out very nicely for you, Andy. A tad small but still nice.

The actual file is much larger. Just didnt want to blow the bandwith out with it Gary. :D

I have got to give this a try....this is awesome. Just begging for some nicer weather to drag the camera around outside.

It is Great fun Mary. The picture above is I think 8 photos merged together. It is really interesting to see the finished results when you do these type of shots.

Andy

Congratulations - this is an incredible shot. You've probably said this before, but what software do you use to stitch together??

I had the opportunity to see a presentation by a Welsh gentleman that does incredible work with panoramas and after stitching them together, then will sometimes incorporate HDR effects. Beautiful work.

Andy that photo is great. I would love to be able to see it bigger as well, but I know what you mean about the size!

Thank you Debbie.
I use Photoshop CS3 which is very simple for panoramics.

Sue, When I get chance, I am going to try to reduce the size of the individual photographs first and then stitch them together afterwards to see if I can get it a little larger, No doubt I would loose some quality though but I'll have to see.

It looks great...i have never tried stitching pictures together, always imagined it would take a lot of time and patience..but the end result is worth it.

The end result is well worth it and it is not that difficult really. Just make sure when you take your series of photographs that you use a tripod and go steady when you move from one picture to the next.
Depending on which software you use afterwards to stitch the pictures together, can either be a short easy process or a little more involved.

Well Done Andy, great image. I hope to get to try these in near future, have done some but stitching was not great. Can I ask if you shot in landscape or portrait and what lens did you use.
