Thanks Debbie! I am getting everybody hooked on photography! I have my daughter, a couple of my friends, and my sister all doing this with me now. It's great!

Haha not with school coming up. I won't have anytime. Hey guess what though? I received and $1,800 scholarship today from the university towards summer classes. I had to send in a portfolio of 5 images, along with a letter of intent, and I just found out I actually was awarded 1,800.00 so I am happy today!

Thank you. I was very happy. That is 1,800 that I save! I must do a little something right with photography to be able to get that, because they are very selective!

If I get serious, maybe I should give it a try??

That is always an option for you, if you ever decide to go further. I do all of my husbands advertising, so I am going to use it for that. I take all interior photos for him, and he even has a portfolio for customer review. That has really helped his construction business, because before and after photos can be amazing!

Congrats on the scholarship, Sue...and welcome to the group, Macie. I'm hoping to pass my passion for photography on to my grandchildren. I've already got my great nephew hooked and he's just 4...whenever I have my camera out, here he comes...doesn't do too bad either.

I am really glad that my girls are into photography, because they actually get out of the house and move around, while taking photos. Some kids just play video games all day long. Our kids are not allowed to sit on the computer all day, text message all day long, or play video games all day long. (Not that they want to anyway)

Yeah for you Sue!!! Unfortuantely, many teens these days are missing out on what life has to offer because of today's technology.

Aha, so that means congrats to you, Sue... and... easy come, easy go... lol.
It is for an excellent cause, and now you have both a fellow competitor, as well as something that I am sure helps in the mother/daughter bonding area. :)
I just had a epiphany! No more divorice, world hunger totally eliminated in the world, no more "bad kid" issues all thanks to photography! Imagine this, instead of "go to your room!" you have "go outside and using ONLY the sun, give me an example of open loop lighting as your punishment (ha-ha!). The camera could turn into the psychiatrist of the new centruy... wait... nah, its just too much fun... lol. :p

Haha yeah I think just having some time away from the television is enough to make me happy! (the text messaging all day and night is what drives me out of my mind) When we are trying to watch a family movie all you can hear is a vibrating phone going off!

lol I think my mom would disagree with you Jerry. Lots of times she'd rather I wasn't into photography so I wouldn't "borrow" her truck and take off randomly because the sky's awesome. My car just doesn't cut it on some of the back roads :(
