Hi, my name is Linda. Just got my Olympus E-510 2 days ago. I am taking this Course because in the past my pic's all turned out lousy. Will need lots of help.
I picked this Course over the other online Courses because it also has a forum with lots of friendly people, and beeing able to do it at my own pace.

@ Susan, thank you for the welcome.
About posting photos, I think I'll wait because what I took before might hurt you (would not want you to fall of your chair).

Linda - art is subjective, and photography is a form of art. Some of the photos that I thought were just HORRIBLE, were actually some of the photos that other people liked more than the photos that I thought were pretty good! You might be amazed, and always remember, when you post photos, you can get advice on what to do to make that photo a little more interesting next time, such as composition, lighting, etc. (my desk chair has arms to hold me in) haha!

@Lensbaby, I might post some pic's after I did a couple of lessons, the ones I send in for the first lesson are not good (that is why I'm taking this Course).

Welcome to the group, Linda. Sorry I took so long but work was a bit of a trip to #@*@* this week. You will enjoy the course, its taught me a lot and I'm only up to Lesson 5. Just waiting on some better weekend weather to get out and do the assignments. Suppose to be a great Spring day today so might get to work on them.
As to posting your photos...I was just like you. Did not want to subject anyone to my photos but this forum has taught me something the course hadn't. You can't improve if you don't share and take the advice from those that view them. I'm still not sure my photos are up to par but my confidence in taking and sharing them has raised since I started posting some of them.
Looking forward to seeing you on the forum.
