My first attempt at using a slow shutter to soften the water. From our retreat at Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Next time I'll use a tripod... not a monopod!

Oh My, that is one of the nicest stream photos I have ever seen! My husband is was standing behind me when I clicked on it and he said" Wow that is one beautiful photo" Great job Gary! So how was the trip?

We did not want to leave. Our cabin was breath-takingly beautiful. Folks were super-nice. The weather sucked but we still loved being there.

Oh, Wow, Wow, Wow...that is BEAUTIFUL! I think you and the monopod did an excellent job. I'm going to have to start doing some traveling...I'm missing out on some beautiful scenery. I can't wait to see what else you captured on your vacation.

Gary, did you stand out on a rock in the stream? I love the long stream that runs behind all of those shops. Did you get to ride the cable car up to the top of the mountain for photos?

I stood IN the stream, Sue.

Mountain tops were socked in with fog. No view. Have a look:

Gary, Great shot really nice. I keep saying I will get a monopod. When I was away, I sometimes did not take my tripod with me on my walks and then ended up trying to find a leaning post to take the photo from!

I like the shot of the mountains too. The mist just adds to the atmosphere of the shot.

Thanks very much. Far from perfect, though. Got a couple of blown out areas and, since I took it with a monopod instead of a tripod, there's a little camera shake evident. There's always next year :)
