This week's suggestion... Time.
Anything to do with "TIME"... interpret that in ANY manner that you want.

This is a photo that I took at the Museum Of Appalachia in Tennessee. I antiqued it, so it looks old. (It has been around for a long TIME) It really has, I just helped to make it look old in the photo. (Cox Corn Crib)

Thanks. I had some camera shake, but it added to the photo.

Great start to the topic! Any idea of the time period of that picture?

When I took it you mean? Or when that building was being used?

How old is that building? :)

Thats what I thought, but I wasn't sure!:o It is from the 1800's ( I think thats what it said), but some of the parts have been restored for the museum. Mark Twains house is there, along with many others. It is a really cool place to visit. This place is FULL of old artifacts, and is on 65 acres with buildings from all over.

Lovely photo and yes, a great topic.
Here is something very different and maybe not very politically correct. Not a photo, but one of my paintings. But I DID take the photograph :)
Their time is so short, yet so beautiful. The summer months are simply precious and I enjoy my time watching them in the garden with their glistening colours in the hot tropical sun.

Beautiful Ingrid. I love the colors. Do you take a photo and then do the painting in photoshop, or is it an actual hand painted work of art?

It is an actual painting I did for my daughter. She needed something soft and lovely for her newly decorated small loungeroom.
Yes I do paint, but that is put on the backburner for now. Concentrating more on web designs and photography.
I have actually started a Diploma Course for Professional Photographers for Beginners. Even though it is by correspondence to Sydney, it is very intensive and I am still struggling with the b..... panning
The rest of the challenges I can cope with and will manage.
Now that the wet monsoon season has finished I will go out there and just keep on practising.

She is very talented. I wish I could paint. I have always wanted to be able to do oil and acrylic, but I don't know the first thing about it.

I have a hard time with crayons, much less oil and acrylic. I couldn't even do paint by number as a kid.

I can paint too, but only if there are some numbers on the paper that I am tracing... lol
Beautiful stuff Ingrid!

Thank you guys for your lovely compliments. I did not pick up a brush until I was nearly 40years old. With acrylics it is so easy. You just keep on painting over and over, until you are happy with it. Most of my canvasses have 2 to 3 paintings underneath them. You should all have a go. You will never never know until you have a go.
Now is it not time to enter a photo for this weekly shot? :)

I was not sure what time it was, so I looked at the clock... and found out it was TIME for my entry! :p

OK, It's been a busy week but here is my entry!
It's a bit of a strange entry and I am not entirly sure if I have captured my idea completly but here goes.
The idea was the Ghost of Time. Time flys by so fast at times.

Thank you Jerry. Wasn't sure if it would turn out ok.
I knew what I wanted to achieve but actually getting there was a little more difficult. This is why I like these weekly ideas as it makes you think harder about the subject and what you can do which is a little different.
