Just curious as to what lessons everybody is on. I have been taking my time, but I did send in a few assignments tonight.

Of our little group here, I think that I am the only one that has completed the course. What module are you on?

I'm still on lesson 5. I just haven't had the chance or the weather to work on the assignment for this lesson. I'm hoping our crappy weather will start improving soon but so far, most all the past weekends have been cold, cloudy and rainy.

I am on the final assignment now, but I am going to take my time with those photos. I am going to think of some unique ideas! It has been very hard for me to get through the lessons with the weather the way that it has been.

Sue -

I do have assigment 7 done - did that when I took the B&W class, and working on #5 and #10. The final, I'm going to finish when on vacation next month.

Assignment 4 and 5 for me. I'm another victim of panning and cloudiness.

I just submitted my 3 pictures for lesson one. Anyone know if/when I get feedback? Or was this just a submit to assess my skills?

Everything is usually within a couple days and once the "back and forth" starts, it comes quicker.

Finally bit the bullet and started my assignments. Just completed 4 and 5. Now doing 6 and will probably finish 7 next week.
Still toying with camera settings and boy does it help to re-read the notes. After handing in lesson 4, I realised how much better it would have been with some altered settings on my camera.
Mainly AF points and metering modes. Well, that is why we are here - to learn and not beat ourselves up.
One thing that I am totally amazed about, is that finally the ruddy TV and AV mode makes sense to me....YEH! Never too old to learn.

I'm still on lesson four. I just can't decide what I want to photo, errr and on top of that I threw my back out two days ago bending over to brush my teeth of all things, so I haven't been able to get outside at all.

Oh no. I hope you get better soon. I'n a post about spiders a few days ago, I talked about my wife throwing her back out trying to get away from one little tiny spider. Maybe we should start a "What threw your back out" thread.

Sad thing is, this isn't the first time it's happened and I'm now guessing it will not be the last time either.:(

JC - I threw my back out once just brushing my hair. It's amazing the little things that can interrupt our day!!! Take care of that back.

Hey, thats nothing... I threw out my back lifting up my foot to wipe it after a shower. It took me 45 minutes to crawl from the bathroom to the bedroom while in great pain, call my parents who called paramedics.

I spent 2 days in the hospital and 20 days heavy bed rest. Be VERY careful of your back, without it you can't do ANYTHING of value.

A sneeze did it for me! I ended up sleeping in a rocking chair for awhile so I could get up! Now I see a chiropractor on a regular basis - my life saver!

I just finished lesson 4 - I can't go onto lesson 5 until I get the grade back - does anyone know how long that usually takes?

It took 2 days to get my grades from all my lessons. Which is great when you consider it took 7 weeks to get feedback from one of my lessons from NYIP.

Hi Chrissy. no you don't have to wait for assignment feedback. The reason you cannot go on is you missed a quiz question or have not read all sections of Lesson 4 yet. To make sure you completed the lesson, please always press the "Continue" button at the bottom of each section until you reach "You have reached the end of lesson" message. Somewhere on the way through Lesson 4 you must have left it before reaching its end.

Anyone else just starting ?Im waiting for the feedback for the first three photos. Then launching into lesson three.
Finding 3 old photos to send was nerve wracking enough. Goodness knows how i will manage sending in freshly taken shots :(

You will be fine Lens. Just submit the very best you can do. If you aren't 100% satisfied with what you're about to submit, take your time and try to get something you are completely happy with.

Just heading into homework for lesson 2. I have a digital and a SLR both of which I was not familiar with except for the automatic settings. Using a Sony DSC-H50 digital and a Minolta Dimage 7 SLR. This course really started at the basics and now a lot of what I have been trying to learn and reading is FINALLY clicking. What I like is I can keep reviewing the lessons until they become reflex and NOT a lot of thinking. Several courses/classes I have looked at were either too simple or too involved. You either knew nothing or you knew everything. There was no middle ground.

Just turned in Lesson 5. Is there a bare minimum grade you need to complete the course (like 80% overall)? I cannot find that information anywhere.
