This was at the Rain Forest Cafe. Our table is right where that photo was taken from. I didn't know where to post this one at.

Sue -

I LOVE the Rainforest Cafe. We've got one at the Mall of America and took my oldest grandson there last year and he couldn't hardly eat with all the goings on. He especially loved the volcano cake. Nice shot.

HAHA we got a volcano cake for my daughters birthday while we were there, and she loved it. I hear about the Mall of America all of the time from my kids! We are going to have to make a trip there one day. Take some photos for me the next time you go!

Sue -

Jaxon thought the sparklers on the cake were really cool!! Never thought to take a picture at the time, but I will next time. When you come up - let me know and we can meet up. I'm about 1/2-45 min north of the mall. Don't get there too often AND if you have kids that love rides, they just remodeled and converted the park from "Camp Snoopy" to the Nickolodean(sp?) theme park.

We will have to meet up whenever we make it that way! I took some photos of the cake, but it was crazy at the time (not to mention dark as can be) It didn't turn out very good.

These are great pictures, Sue. And the cake looks awesome. My grandson went to the Rain forest cafe in KC and had a blast. I've never been but plan on going some day.

Debbie..I'm going to make it to that mall yet..I've been saying this for 5 years but its going to happen. :)

Well Mary, why don't you and Sue plan to come up this summer? I'd be happy to show the two of you around.

I'd love to do that...if we could make it in a weekend. I don't have much time off during the summer. Since my kids are grown, I leave the summer months for the younger employees that have kids out of school. I remember, too well, not getting a summer vacation with my kids.

Hey - that works for me, just let me know when. I don't have kids at home anymore (unless you count the hubby).

Those pics alone have convinced me to seriously consider Vegas as my next vacation spot. I am really not a gambler... I can toss is $10 into the machine and walk away wihtout a second thought... but there seem to be a lot of nice things to see in the area, all close within driving distance.

Jerry - If you want some great photo ops around Vegas, check out Valley of Fire and Red Rock Canyon. Absolutely spectacular - but don't go in the summer, too hot.

Thanks, noted!

My yearly big vacation ordinarily comes in February of each year and thats when I go down south somewhere. Last 2 years was Florida, and I loved it, but I want to experience something different..

This October, I am taking my lady friend and my parents to the Kitchener/Waterloo Octoberfest for a week. It's their 50th anniversary, and I want to do something at least a little special for them.

Jerry -

I was in Vegas in early March. Perfect time of year, the temp was about right. Start out with a light sweater/sweatshirt in the morning or evening and shorts during the day.

You are a wonderful son to want to do something with your parents - they are lucky to have you for a son and you lucky to have them for parents.

Jerry I hate to Gamble! I DO NOT gamble at all...never have. There are soooo many cool things to do in Vegas, such as shows and sites to see. We go there every year and do not see the same thing twice! Check this photo out. This was at Fremont Street, and this is a HUGE HUGE HUGE canopy that covers the sidewalks all down the strip, and every so many minutes they have a spectacular light show with music. I will show you some photos. I loved it. (This is off of the Vegas Strip, and downtown)I think this is one of the coolest things I have ever seen in my life. I have several more. Each time it changes music and videos. It is a video that plays on the screen. (No not all of them are women in costumes either) I have some others that I will try to post. If you go there you must go to Fremont Street. (notice on the first one that guys staring up from the bottom of the photo)

Fremont Street is WAAAAAAAAY Cool. Sue, my hubby and I aren't real big gamblers. The last we were there, I think between the two of us we spent $50. I tagged along for a mini-vacation and we did sight seeing outside of Vegas.

I liked Fremont Street better than the Vegas strip. We are staying there next time.

Okey Dokey. Sue - what about you?

I would love to. I have to see what races my son has this summer. When he has a race scheduled I have to be here, because of what happened last time. It is a very scary thing for me, because I tried to make him stop, and then when he would go to his friends he would just do it there. Also, that is his whole life, and that is what he lives for. He is more passionate about racing than I am about photography. He is going to be 18 soon, and he is going to do it anyway. That accident was caused from a malfunction in his ATV, and was unexpected. It wasn't because of his skill, and no we didn't sue the company, because that is the risk that you take when you do something so dangerous. Sorry Debbie this became such a long post, I would just wanted to explain in detail. :D:D I do want to make it there soon! Maybe we could get everybody together - how nice would that be!

Sue -

You don't have to explain. I understand a mother wanting to be there for her children, regardless of what age. If it's meant to be to get together, then it will happen.

And it would be nice for everyone to get together, that would be cool.
