Hi All , back in home in Ireland again after our Daughters Wedding in England and all went well , TG. ( thanks again for all the good wishes ). Went down to our cottage on Tuesday and actually sat in the Sun sipping coffee. Thought I'd show two images from the scene. The cottages are estate workers cottages built in the 1830's,.
One is of our cottage, the other image is a view of one side of the village.

Welcome home, Eddie!

Nice shots! I've always loved those picturesque cottages and small villages -- in Ireland, Scotland, and England. In particular, I love 'em with a thatched roof. That's a dying artform anymore from what I gather. They were becoming rarer and rarer when I lived in England. So very sad.

Welcome home, Eddie...glad to hear the wedding went well. I love weddings, they are so pretty.
As to your cottage...I love it! I especially love that blue door. I would have to have a capture of it by itself. I love walking around town finding new, colorful doors. And, it looks like you've mowed yard already. I'm going to have to drag the mower out this weekend. I'm anxious to get started cause I love fresh mown grass in the spring. Is that pansies in the window boxes?

Welcome home Eddie. Congrats on the daughter getting married! I love the cottage. The grass is so green!!! Our grass is never that green, but we have so many trees (less one 400 year old one now) that it takes the nutrients away from the grass.

Well spotted, yes they are pansies in the window boxes, just potted up earlier that day. Our next door neighbour cuts the grass for the village ( we all chip in to pay the costs etc ).
Will have to get back to the course when I finish doing PP on the wedding photo's.

Nice village shots, and I am looking forward to seeing some of those wedding pics. Wedding potography seems to be a strong point of interest for me.

Jerry I have a friend of my sons that is a pro racer, and he is getting married next month. They keep asking me to photography their wedding, but I am scared. I would do it for free, but I don't know enough yet, and I would be afraid that I would not get enough good photos! Wedding photography would be cool, but also a ton of work. You would be great at it.

Hi Guys, I have a small selection that I did a quick edit on, and these are available to view on the adobe showcase facility generated by Elements, if you mail me your email address (anyone who wants to see my pics, not the official photographer TG ) I can email the links to allow viewing.
