I'm working on lesson two today and I keep getting these weird font things around some words. Here's a sample:

“equivalent pixel resolution”

I'm not sure why it's doing this or how to fix it. Anyone else get this?

Yes I do and I have no idea why!

This has happened when we moved to a new server couple of months ago. Different text encoding. Can you please tell me where they are so we could fix them fast without searching? Thank you!

Peter it is in the second lesson in this paragraph

Using film-based cameras, photographers are usually concerned with the cost of film and processing. This discourages them from taking additional pictures of the same scene or subject from different angles or formats (horizontal and vertical). With digital cameras, this is no longer a concern. Now you can experiment by varying your viewpoint. Take the same scene from different angles and different heights. You'll find that you rarely capture the “perfect” picture in the first shot.

Now you can experiment by varying your viewpoint. Take the same scene from different angles and different heights. You'll find that you rarely capture the €œperfect€ picture in the first shot.

In Lesson 2.2, there's another paragraph:

Digital imaging sensors do not need to match the €œequivalent pixel resolution€ of film because they use a different process and operate under different rules. On catching light, they do color interpolation in 8x8 grids, convert light to analog charges, then convert the analog charges to digital. Because it€™s such a self-contained, self-run, self-correcting process, we €œcapture images€€”an active process€”while €œfilm is exposed€€”a passive process.

Thank you for looking into it.

Wow! That was FAST! Thank you!

Thanks Peter. I just thought they were supposed to be there for some reason. HaHa goes to show you how much I know about computers huh?
