Swans nest

I was on a course this week and at dinner I took a walk along the cannal. I came across this pair of swans and I was surprised to see the mother sat on the nest so close to the canal tow path.

Very unusual that they place a nest so easy to get to. But I think the daddy had his eye on you, just in case. :)

I think he did however the other day (when I did not have my camera) the dad was only a foot away from me and he did not hiss at me at all. Must of known I was not a threat to him or his pride. (the little bundle under the big bundle of fluff on the nest!)
