I was practicing with my macro lens but the Lens will not work with the settings in my camera i.e. you have to set the Aperture yourself on the lens.

The shots above were taken on ISO 200.
Daff 1 was taken with no flash, Aperture F22 Shutter 1/20
Daff 2 taken with flash, Aperture F22 Shutter 1/25
Daff 3 taken No Flash, Aperture F4 Shutter 1/20

The DOF does not seem to be much different between all the shots, is this normal for a macro lens or does it appear that the Aperture ring on lens is not working?

Any ideas?

All three are VERY nice shots, Andy but 2 & 3 are the winners here. Good composition, clarity and color. The only thing that MIGHT have made this really "pop" is to use black velvet as a background.

As Gary has said...all are beautiful, but number two is my favorite. It looks more in focus to me. I love it.

The second one is my favorite is well and I agree with Gary. Black velvet for your background.

Thanks Guys. The background was a dark grey cloth that I have but it did not appear that dark on the photos! Lol.
