Hi all

I was in rome there the last couple of days. we were walking by the Pantheon back to our hotel and I caught these two having an afernoon siesta.I had to take it, a pity I had to crop it, a higher zoom lens would have been ideal!

let me know what you think please.

Thank all

regards
John

I like candid shots that tell stories, John. This one does. I also like titles that fit the image... you do that too.

You are right, though - a tighter shot would have made this better.

This is such a wonderful photo. I love photos that tell stories as well, and this is a great one!

Great photo and guess the type of thing we all look for a satement of sorts. The main subject is smack in the centre of the photo, using the 3rds rule may have made it more interestsing.

Eg setting the main subject to the side but still keeping him and the dog in focus.

The rule of thirds is more of a suggestion than an actual rule, but I would have cropped out some of that negative space beneath their feet... not all, but enough that it would have placed the focus of the pic square on the subjects. :)

Still a good shot!

Agreed that is not a rule, that was just a misplaced word. As I find it over used myself however this photo would have really suited it, no matter which angle it was taken from. I think having more of the wall would have been a good bonus to this shot; however is saying that as it is a great shot has been produced
