Dinner time! The magpie family return to this same area year after year.

The people down the street get swooped by them, but our family have never had any problems with them.

Maybe because we don't really bother them too much - except my camera and me of course - and they seem to be ok with that as long as there are bugs/critters or worms in the garden for them.

I like the moment that you caught. I love looking at the bird photos! For me birds are so hard to capture.

Nikkirose used a 300mm lens, so that bird was quite the distance away, and it was some excellent technique used to get such a nice shot in the first place. :)

Jerryph that made me laugh about being impolite to speak with a mouth full - I agree birds are hard to photograph / they always find a twig or branch to hide behind or are so fast to fly away.
