Amazing! I was just in Lancaster last weekend. Such a great place to take photos but difficult since we really are supposed to. Great job!

I noted a little softness and light lack of definition around the face, I hope you don't mind, but I tried a little extra post processing on your picture:

Working off the lower res JPG did not give me the results I wanted, but I think there is a small improvement. what do you think? The boy seems to look preoccupied or worried about something.

The only thing I do not really care for about the 1st photo, is the way the grass looks compared from top to bottom. It is like half of it was photoshopped and then somebody quit.

I can relate! So, so hard to get good Amish pics incognito. I will post some of mine in a few days.

By the look on his face, I think he saw you anyways... lol. Shooting through any kind of glass is challenging, but shooting through car glass (that is usually far from optically perfect) is difficult indeed.

It is because there was some bokeh and noise in the original due to a tight crop. Cleaning up the noise blended the grass in the background way more than I would have liked, but thats because I started from a cropped JPG and not the original full sized pic.
It's still a nice pic before I touched it.
