I'm sorry to have not popped in to chat for a long time, life and work have made me sooooooo busy... but I've not forgotten my friends here!
I've also not forgotten photography, indeed, I've added to my equipment a little. Lately I added 2 more SB-600 speedlights (already arrived) and ordered 5 Gadget Infinity receivers and one transmitter (to come within 2 weeks), to be able to get into some more complex portraiture as time presents with it. I'll have the ability to control up to 7 light sources once they arrive! :D :D
Before the ceremony, I took advantage of a single SB-600's and tried some pictures during the strong sun inside a gazebo that ordinarily would have left me with nothing but strong shadows and outlines:

My niece again completed this year achieving the Honor Roll again. Indoors, the auditorium was poorly lit with strong hot spots and different coloured lighting the length of the walkway. I was permitted to set up 2 flashes near the stage and I had a blast playing!

I was having so much fun and really enjoyed myself. At the end of the evening, the principal of my niece's school asked me if I was interested in doing the pictures next year as their primary photographer. I had two reasons to jump on the request and say "yes!!"... first, I'd love to "cover" an event like that, its a ton of fun as the girls are all in such great spirits, and second, it will by my niece's final and graduating year, so I would be there whether they asked me or not! :D
