Just a quick hi from the newbie from Canada. Am i the only Canuck??? Not all bad as lived in the good ol USA for 5 years and loved every minute of it. I started the course a few weeks back,if for no other reason than to prove that their are no problems only challenges. You need to know I am actually a blonde (ignore the smattering of grey), I know nothing about photography, but have always been so envious of those beautiful shots seen in various venues. To make it even worse my computer skills are less than optimum. Purchased a Rebel XTI and am headed out for my first "field assignment" tomorrow...too scary. Well if you start out at the very bottom of the heap the only way to go is UP. I expect it will be a long time before i can post anything worthwhile but will be purusing the forum for pointers. Thank you all for being there. Love what i think i have learned so far, will now attempt to apply it.

Welcome to the group, Sandi. You will be taking great photos in no time. You already have the desire, now all you need is to apply some expertise to it and you will be surprised at what you get out of that camera of yours. Will be looking forward to seeing some of your images as you progress.

Welcome Sandi,
As a canuck, you are not alone. I am from Quebec, though I did spend a few years in Dallas, Texas. :)

Hi Sandi, and welcome to our group of wonderful people. Please do not hesitate to post photos, because you feel as if they are not good enough. We are all there (or have been there), and that is how you get help. Having people view your photos, and then tell you what they like or ways that you can improve your photography skills, is a great resource. Make sure to use it! Now I wanna see some photos! lol
