Hi folks,I finished the 1st Lesson and uploaded the photos along with a few words on a word document and when finished hit the done button.

How do I know that this was all transmitted to where it was needed for review an how long does it take for some sort of do's and don'ts to be returned and how will it be returned,e mail ,private message etc.

Hello Dick, welcome to the community!

To check if your files went through ok, just click on the assignment and there down on the bottom you can find all your photos and text files listed. What you can see there we have certainly received.

Every time the feedback is submitted from your tutor, you get an instant email saying that you have just received a new feedback. There will also be a link to it, but you can easily find it - again inside the assignment. Right where you uploaded your photos and where they're listed.

It usually takes up to 48 hours to receive a feedback from your tutor.

I also noticed that you have the pop-up blocker turned on in your browser. This prevents you from receiving our instant messages inside the course (they go to your email as well so no, you haven't missed any). As you log in the course, on the top right menu find block called "Messages". When you have any unread messages, you'll see a person's name with a little envelope. Click on it to open the message (have the pop-up blocker off). There is one right there waiting to be opened (from me).

thanks ,my Pop Up Blocker must turn on by default after a restart because I did have it turned off.I just looked at my Tools Menu and the Pop-Up Blocker is turned off there,is there somewhere else I need to do it? My OS is Vista Home Basic.I don't see anything called messages.

I just noticed the thumbs down ICON,when I did that I thought it was a "Question Mark" sorry no ill feelings intended. I guess these old eyes play tricks on me.

I fixed the question mark for you, now let's have a look on your pop-up blocker...which browser - Firefox, IE or anything else? Do you use any toolbars like Google or Yahoo toolbar? They have the blockers built in.

My Browser is IE and it looks like its a Google tool bar as a Google Search box appears in the upper right ,if I click on tools and then toolbars it only has status bar checked...........

I'm at about the same point with computers as I am with Cameras.

Google blocker is about in the middle of the top bar and it looks like little crossed red circle with the text "X blocked" next to it, where X is a number of blocked windows so far. Clicking on it turns it off/on.

I have a red "X" at the end of the address bar and it says "stop(esc)" when I hover the mouse pointer over it,is that what you are talking about?

Here is what I mean. It's in the red circle on a Google toolbar. See if you can find that.

I definitely don't have that tool bar
