A few pics of my fun day spent with my sister and niece this Saturday at a fair, balloon show and outdoor concert.
A short slideshow of the day's events can be seen HERE (http://flickr.com/photos/jerryph/sets/72157606674473474/show/).
Order of events are:
1 - A couple pics playing with panning and motion blur (sorry, couldn't resist... lol)
2 - 4 pics of a group of dancers and singers inside a tent.
3 - 4 shots of the air balloons.
4 - 3 shots of the first group called Creature and a pic of the DJs that are the French equivalent of the English "Much Music" TV show.
5 - 9 pics of the group Hedley, and finally...
6 - 11 pics of the new love of my niece's life (LOL!), the lead singer of Tokio Hotel.
First time I ever did concert/show shots, and I really liked it. What I *don't* like is the part where I am pushed, shoved and jostled every time I lifted the camera... and I did not like being pressed in like a sardine where personal space was less than an inch all around you for the 4+ hours the show raged on... but besides that, I had a FANTASTIC time and my niece got many pics of her favorite band (my ears are still recovering from all the screaming teenagers! ).
Also, I often do not raise ISO enough because I don't like the noise it creates, but I should have raised it a little more than I had at the time (I was between ISO 800-1000), my shutter speeds were a step lower than what they should have been. Live and learn. :)
A wonderful learning experience for me, plus it was a day of great fun!!
