I recently started taking pictures of the adoptable animals at the local county animal shelter for the SPCA. What a neat opportunity! I came across it while trying to find a home for a stray I befriended. If anyone likes taking pictures of animals (and I know you are out there), I suggest contacting your local organizations to see if they can use your talent. What a rewarding way to give back and practice photography! :)

What a great idea. Thanks for sharing it. What do you do with the photos then that help promote an adoption?

The photos are posted on www.petfinder.com and a few other sites. I also come home and write up cute descriptions of the animals. Some shelters may have websites as well. I think the possiblities are endless...

It's a very nice way to help out our furry friends. I have a friend that's a herpetologist and people are always dropping off abandon reptiles to him. Since he can't hardly adopt out a gator or hugh python, he ends up keeping them. I help out with photography much in the same way you're doing with our furry friends. Thanks for volunteering to help out God's creatures!

What a wonderful way to use your talents. My thanks go out to you as well and what a way to practice "portraits".
