With hope of one day selling my photo I've built a site.

I would love to hear any feedback, it's been up for about a month now, got a few hits & I'm still doing a lot of work to it.

It's a good start, but I am not very fond of the layout. You have different colour fonts and layouts on every page, some pages that do not work and it doesn't have the harmonious feel of a single web site. You also added advertising to your page, which if not directly associated to you, I feel should not be there.

Your layout has the incompleted look of a framed layout. Either go all the way or not, and keep the background colours the same across the top and the sides. Those buttons have to go... lol.

Look at some of these websites for general ideas:

http://www.kenringer.com/

http://www.lmphotography.com/

http://www.touchingthelight.co.uk/

For more inspiration, just google "photographer websites" and you will have lots of places to "borrow" some great ideas from. I've been working on a personal work related website (its located at http://www.syner-g.org if you want to take a look. I am not running it on port 80 for now, so from work it may not function, but should from most home setups... it is still under construction!).

You have a nice start, keep up the good work! :)

...to add what Jerry has outlined, it's good to resize all your image thumbnails displayed in the gallery down to 72 dpi which is a screen resolution and make them 100% size. Do not use high resolution photos on the web. It takes a long time for those images to load, it's eating out of your website bandwidth and users with slower internet connection will exit before the first image opens.

I found all the ads very very distracting....really took away from your photos.......overall though off to a good start :)

I've since deleted the layout and installed wordpress, I think keeping it as a blog is much easier to update

I just clicked and like the layout - especially the homepage with all the dates and information but the ads are bothersome.
