Is this a lighting effect, or done is PS? I like how they got her skin to glow.

It was done in PS. If it wasn't done in PS, it would have to be body paint. I haven't seen anyone that bronze naturally, lighting would the tint to all the image, not just skin tone. I'm pretty sure it was done in PS.

It was accomplished in a combination of 2 ways... using a CTO gel on the lighting and using a little PSing to make the skin look lightly "plasticy". I can come pretty close to this with nothing more than a 3/4 or 1 stop CTO (Change to Orange) gel for that look. It really warms up the skin on a person. Of course you must have the WB of your camera set to DAYLIGHT else it does screwy things. To smoothen the skin, there are all kinds of PS plug-ins and programs made for that portraiture look.
The technique with the gels is called COLOUR-SHIFTING". I do it all the time in my little practice sessions with my niece. Time for me to get some more warming gels for my strobes!

Jerry can we see some examples? I love when photographers do this. I have yet to learn anything like that. That is further down the road.
