Jessie and I had a photo shoot today and I'm just now starting to look at the images. It looks like we got some really good images and I thought I would share a couple. Please feel free to cc.

Wow, her hair looks so soft, especially in the first one. How did you do that?

Hi Lisa,
The hair was done with a program called Portrait Professional. It's about the only part of the program I use is to smooth hair. It takes about 2 or 3 minutes in Portrait Professional, but I work for an hour in PS to get this look. The rest of post was done in PS.

The commercial variant that has become rather well liked amongst the amateurs is Imagnomics Portraiture PS CS3 plug-in.
The above pics are all aweseome and really give me something to shoot for as a goal to reach one day. :)

Thanks so much for the compliment Jerry.
The biggest problem I have in post is cleaning up hair and making it look good. I find the Portrait Professional very good to help speed up the process, but I don’t really care for it else wise. It just over does everything for my taste. I’ve tried several PS plugins, but don’t really like them. The Imagnomics Portraiture PS CS3 plug-in is ok, but I can’t really justify the cost of it for what I would use it for. I’m getting almost happy with the results I’m obtaining in post. I’m just now getting a feel of what I want and how to get if with PS. I’m just now really getting my feet wet in digital photography and only started working with pp in digital a few months ago, so I still have much too learn.

I also use portrait professional, but I also think it is a little "too much" at times. The first photo is a excellent!

I use portrait professional very little. For some reason I upgraded to version 8 a couple of days ago. The first image was my first attempt at using the new version. The hair feature is new to version 8 and I really love the silky look you can get on the hair. I wish I knew how to do this in PS, but hair gives me the hardest time in PS.
