...then I will give it a rest.

One thing that happens to the members I talk to is that there is no indication when someone post a comment on one of thier photos in thier gallery. I love how the forum is set up so that I will get an email when someone adds a message to a thread I contributed to.

But a comment on a photo can go unnoticed for a very long time. The only way I know is if I scroll through the almost 100 photos I have in my gallery. I do it about everyday cause there are questions posted sometimes and I want to answer then sooner than later. So maybe adding an email notification when someone posts a comment to one of your photos would be nice.

Thanks for listening.

Just an add on to yours ... I don't get any notification if someone responds to a message in a thread I contributed to. I kind o fhave to just go through them all. So maybe that is a glitch as well

Actually, there is. When you're in a Gallery and on "Upload page" there is an additional option you can tick on "Receive Email Updates". You can find this option under the Image Tools tab as well and apply it to already uploaded photos whether yours or not.

Hi Lisa, no glitch - you need to be subscribed to the threads you want to get email notifications on. Users are not automatically subscribed. This way you can pick threads you want without being bombarded with unwanted emails.

You can change that if you want. Go up to the "Quick Links" menu at the top of any forum page. Open it up and choose "Edit Options." Once in the Edit Options menu, if you look about 1/3 of the way down the page you'll see "Default Thread Subscription Mode." Read that box and then decide what level of subscription you'd like. If you want it will automatically subscribe you to every thread you post in, and then send you eMail notification each time someone else posts in that thread.

Incidentally, this forum runs vBulletin, which is a very popular forum software. There is lots of information out there about it. If anyone is interested in learning more about the forum features, Google should turn up all sorts of things for you.
