Hello everyone! Have just registered on the course and am looking forward to becoming a PRO:)

I have just bought my very first camera, an EOS 40D, which I am over the moon with!

My Mum passed away at the end of July and my brother and sisters decided that we all should buy something from the inheritance that would be a tribute to her.
She loved taking photographs and was very good even though she didn't wander very far from the green button on her camera!!
So my present from her to me was my new camera and have just started on my journey hopefully to be a "good" photographer. A long way to go thats for sure!! :)

I look forward to getting to know you all better over the coming months and learning from you gurus!!

Welcome Wallis, I'm sorry for your loss. Looks like you have a good camera and some very good lenses there. I've had my 40D for about 6 months now and I love it too. Don't hesitate to write either in the forum or privite message if you need some help or question regarding the camera. You will find some very good people here that are very willing to help if they can. Have fun with the course and don't forget to post up some shots in your gallery, we would love to see some.

Thought your pictures were really good. How did you get the phone booth red? Especially down at the bottom where there is little bits showing.
