help please with dvd ,cd

Omg,ive never been so frustated in my life .What i keep doing is making these beatiful photo spreads with music.I then put them on a cd thats supposed to play on my dvd player but they never do.This is a new dvd player too says it cant playback.I can play some of them on the computer .Ive so far just been able to make a cd not a dvd.It wont record on dvds but thats what i need ???help me please with any reading material on this .Its driving me nuts .thanks:eek:

For it to work on most DVD players, first you have to use a DVD. In the earlier days when DVDs were expensive, using CDs in a lower quality format was a good idea. Nowadays with DVDs actually cheaper than CDs (at least for the last 2 years around here), DVDs are the way to go.

Second important part... are you using copyrighted music? Some music has embedded copy protection, meaning you cannot (and should not) be using it.

What program are you using to create your slideshows with? I use Pinnacle Studio 12 Pro. It is a highly advanced video editing software, but man-oh-man, the things it can do are outrageously incredible!

thanks for the info .ill try pinnacle.The musics not an issue .Its just doesnt play even when i use dvds It says it has no playback feature .Ill keep at it,maybe pinnacle will help.

When you get it, if you want me to walk you through the basics to get you through it from importing pics, music and your commentary to transitions to DVD menus to completed product, let me know. I've been using it for a couple of years and am comfortable with it. :)
