I posted a reply in Camera's about cleaning chips :no response
I posted a picture in People : no response
I posted a set of pictures in Macro explaining the life cycle ,with pictures of the thistle : no response.
I don't see any point in taking the time and effort to post pictures and information if nobody is going take any notice.

Chrissy - Please do not take offense if no one responds to your posts as I am sure there are many reasons why people don't respond. But I will give you mine:

Your reply about cleaning chips in Cameras was to a post that originally went from January - March of this year and was covered extensively.

As far as your posts regarding about people and macro, I don't do very well in these two areas, therefore I don't feel very qualified in critiquing in these categories. I did however respond to Coffee's post "open for cc" as I have personally met Joseph as we live reasonably close to each other and share local spots to photograph.

I also have not spent a lot of time responding as I have been extremely busy with other interests, including photography, and just haven't had time to submit my own pictures and/or reply to posts. I do pop in occasionally to see what is going on and if there is a post about something I am interested in, I will respond.

I don't know if this helps, but again, do not be offended if no one responds.

Hi Chrissy, I agree with what Debbie has said re posting on the forum. Sometimes a topic will draw comment depending on what might be of interest to forum members or perhaps Photo's that may or may not get responses. For me it's been a mixture of all, sometimes response, sometimes not, but then I'm still in a steep learning curve and with time on my hands(retired) can pop in and out and see what being discussed. If I don't get a response, it does not stop me from posting another topic or putting up some photo's for comment. Stay with it and I'm sure you will get the expected reactions.

Chrissy I am sorry that happened to you. I am usually on here everyday but the last couple weeks have been really crazy for me. I will make it a point to check out what you are talking about.

I also have a very limited amount of time per day. Not only am I working 14-18 hours a day (22 hours straight last night and I am so tired that I feel as if my head is about to explode, but not tired enough to sleep just at this moment), yet I still try to post when I can.

You ask what is the point? The point is to not be so easily offended when people's lives are so filled that they cannot center around every post here. Please be more patient, when people cannot answer to your liking. Chrissy, unlike the others, I will politely say that I am not going to apologize to you for not being able to post more... I am doing what I can, when I can. It doesn't mean I do not care... it just means I cannot be as active as I would wish and so I am selective where I do post... like in things that interest me or catch my attention.

In the future, may I suggest that if people are not posting enough to your liking, just pick up your camera and enjoy it. This is what I do, and what you came here for, no?

Please have a nice evening. :D

Hi chrissyp. I looked up your posts you are refering to, let me comment.

The reply you added to the cleaning chips thread, was the last comment so far in that thread, and you aren't asking for anything in your comment. You can't always expect a reply to a reply. You yourself aren't asking any questions.

The one in People isn't asking for any feedback either. You have 27 hits on it though. A lot of people that post photos are looking for comments, CC, thoughts. You didn't ask for any of that, so maybe no one knew what to say, or what you were looking for.

As far as the Thistle, I know nothing about a flowers life, and again, you asked nothing with your post. You got 24 hits on that post, so there is lots of traffic there.

You have to understand that Comments, CC, and thoughts on a certain image are better recieved if you ask for these things. No one wants to start giving you advise and CC if it's not asked for. Some people are sensitive that way.

Don't get frustraited(sp). We've all posted threads that get little feedback sometimes, It's all in how you post, and what you ask for. Hope this helps.

Jerry yes you are correct, but I did apologize due to the fact that I know what it feels like to join a forum and then nobody posts anything. It is almost as if you are talking to yourself.

Chrissy - you should put in your subject area that CC is wanted because some people do not want CC but just to show the photo that they have taken. We want to know that you want CC. As far as replys Joseph is right - people do not always reply to replys. Take some photos and post them for cc!
