Newbie - My Existing Camera

Hi I am serously considering taking the Proud Photography course, but at the moment my only camera is a pretty basic Fujifilm FinePix A205 3.2 Mega pixels point and shoot camera. Can someone please tell me if this will be good enough to at least get me started, with a view of buying something a bit less basic in a few months.

I looked up your camera and it has a manual mode on it, so I'm assuming you can dial in aperature and shutter. So yes you can certainly use this camera. It's better to have manual, aperature and shutter priority modes, but even if you had a fully auto camera, you could still start the course. There is more to photography than just settings on the camera.
