Seems like we get a lot of questions asking how to upload photos to the members gallery and contests, how long it takes to get assignment reviews back amoung others.

I couldn't find these answers in the FAQ's. maybe the FAQ's can be updated to include these.

Does anyone else have anything they would like added to the FAQ?

One good thing for new users to know is the "New Posts" button. After you log in and got to forums, you can hit the "new Posts" button on the top center of this page. This will take you to a list of new posts posted since the last time you clicked this button.

I see there is a new "Mark Forum Read" button next to "New Posts". At least I think this is new. Don't remember seeing it before. It is a good addition if you log on and stay on for extended periods. But after you log off, this resets the new posts button automatically. At least it use to. I'm assuming it's still that way.

I second you suggestion Coffee. Was wondering how to upload pictures but others got in before me to ask the question. Sussed out the new post button and workings myself by playing about on the site. Learnt a lot i didnt know about photography as well while doing so. Just waiting for a break in this atrocious weather we are having here in "sunny Wales" so i can get out taking photos.

Thanks Steve. I feel your pain about getting out with weather. The winters are very long here in Mn. I thought about what I'm going to do now that it's getting cold here, and I've come up with something that will hold me through I think.

In the last 2 years I've taken almost 50,000 shots. Most haven't been processed yet, but are nicely organized. I'm also new to PS, and just started using CS3. I also have 400 short family movies. So I thought about this winter and how I can keep my photography rolling. So....

I started a new website last month. Feel free to look around.

So recently, and this winter I will be busy processing all my photos and movies and uploading them on this site for family and anyone else to look at, and hopfully selling some of my photography. In the last month I've processed over 1000 shots. Also, I ordered a complex tutorial program for CS3 that is due to arrive soon, and I will be spending a lot of my free time studying that, and learning everything PS can do.

One other very good way to spend the winter months in photography is macro and still photography. I love both and plan on doing some inside work this winter. I've also started a dayly diary if you will, to write down happenings of bringing up my Daughter. So when she is grown, and I'm long gone, she will be able to read about her life as a child. It's really too bad that most of us can't remember our early years when we have our most fun. This is a way for her to relive things she may not remember, or want to. :) hehe

It's very hard to find the light and good weather in the winter months. So if you can't beat um', figure out a way to get around it while still having a good connection to photography. This might be a good addition to ADMINS blog. How to spend winter months with photography.
