Hi, Can anyone tell me while using manual mode, does the iso change automatically? I was looking at a few of my photos and even though I was only changing the shutter, aperture, and ev, it seems like my iso changes by itself. Is that possible?
Thanks
Darlene

What camera did you say you have again?

I believe that you are a Nikon user? Nikon has an auto ISO setting in the setup. It can be activated or deactivated.

On my D200, I always keep it turned off as *I* want to maintain control, not the camera. Also on most cameras except the Nikon D700 or D3, the threshold before noise is visible comes at ISO numbers as low as ISO 400.

You can find this answer out in your user manual. If you do not have one, Nikon has the PDF files of ALL their products new and old (well within the last 10 years anyway), online for free download. Check out the support and downloads section if needed.

Hey, yes, thanks, I have the d-40 and I did see where I have a setting to turn iso automatic off, and that's what I did. I'm a biggy girl now, going completely manual...:)DC
