I was playing with smoke a few months ago and got around to editing them finally. I know they are a little out there, but what do you think?

These are sweet Joseph! What settings on the camera did you use and what sort of editting did you do?
The names are escaping me. Chicken Little looks like one of those White Imperial Army troops from Star Wars to me, or the robot from Iron Giant xD

Thanks Angie. I will change some of the names if anyone sees somethng different that makes more sense.
For most I used Hot light, 24-70L at 40mm, 1/250 at f2.8.
I use CS3 for post, and only did normal stuff plus a little color is all. I added the steering wheel, arm and second back rest bar to the Go Cart however.

Thank you both.
Well I got the idea a few months ago. I used an incense(sp) stick to make the smoke. Camera on a tripod with a hot light. Then just tried to make some designs with the smoke and shot the camera with a remote shutter. Since I couldn't trust the auto focus I placed an object at the same distance the smoke would be and pre-focused manually. Thats it. After that you review the images and see what neat things are in it. This was my first try at this and plan on another smoke shoot after the holidays. Thanks for your nice comments.
The cool thing about it is not only are you the photographer, you are also the creator of the subject. A subject you don't realize yet till you have a look at the captures. It's really cool when you see something in the shots. I have another series of smoke shots I took a week after these first shots that I haven't looked at yet, but am making my way to them.
