Took a little walk through the December Photo Challenge and wanted to leave comments but after the 20th time being told I couldn't post until after a 30 sec time period I finally just gave up.
Maybe that is why most photos on this site have few if any comments.........very time consuming if you have to wait before making a comment on the next photo!!!
Anyone else feel the same way? Any way of changing the settings?
Just a thought......................
Thanks for listening.....lol! :)

I've never seen this, and I post comments on many PP photos. How are you trying to post comments?

I went to POTM December....clicked on the first photo to enlarge it...then at the bottom wrote my comment and posted then went to next photo and next and next and next in same way.....If I was slow at commenting then there were no issues...but if I was quicker then 30 seconds....which is a long time if your waiting....lol.....then I had to wait.......a message comes up that you cannot post more then 1 message in a 30 second time frame.......
It also wouldn't let me leave a 1 word message......which I thought was weird....came back saying message too short.....lol....
Hey....you try and post a few comments one after another quickly and see if you get same message.......
Or maybe it just me....lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum requires that you wait 30 seconds between posts. Please try again in 10 seconds.

MMMmmm... I have never seen that and I post one after the other. But it could be that more than 30 seconds goes by before I get the other post out the door. How exactly are you able to post comments one after ther other so quickly?

Hee hee hee.......guess I'm just quick with the fingers......I can move along pretty fast actually......I love to look at others work......but if I stayed on 1 photo too long I would be here all day....:) So, I skip along pretty quick!!!! :)Guess it's time to slooooooooooooooooow down a bit!!!!

Hehe. I'm assuming now that there is a reason for that message and not an actual issue. At first I didn't think anyone could post comments that fast, and you were just getting that message randonly. Now I see you ARE that fast and generating it. I'm still curious about it and may email admin just to find out. I guess I'm not so fast that I've ever seen it.
I see you've been very busy commenting on entry's. I think that's great I comment as much as possible. I wish more would take a few minutes to do the same. But hey, I guess everyone does what they can and when they can.

"and may email admin just to find out" That might be a good idea.....anything that makes it easier to leave comments might mean more comments left!
Thanks! :)

That has happened to me many many times before. I just make sure to look at the next photo a little longer, and maybe reread posts before I send it.

Wonder the reasoning.....think it BIG TIME deterent in leaving comments........don't have all day, ya know!! LOL!
Maybe they can do something about it......perhaps there is a logical reason for it!! :)

It is there so that spammers cannot post numerous messages in a short period of time.
The only solution is to post messages of more than a few words. This will solve the minimum word issue and also get you closer to passing the 30 second mark.
