i see were ya coming from , good reflections, but maybe tighter cropping would improve visuals..

Cool, Owen but I agree with direct shooter. A closer crop would have really emphasized the reflections.

Oh I still struggle with reflections myself. 2nd shot does it more for me and a tighter crop definitely. Great work and keep on going.

as i have jusy got my macro i also want a go at this but i am with the rext crop closer and the 2nd one for me

I like the second photo the best. I agree with the others as far as the crop.

Owen - what time of day do you take these? I would assume early AM to catch that first dew or do you spray the branches to get the drops?? I would like to try this over the winter to see what I end up with.

Hi Debbie they were taken at 13:27pm 15-12-2008 on a very cold day most things were frozen but this tree was in the path of the sun and it was thawing.

Other than the centre subject composition i like it , sharpe and well thought out .. maybe could be a little sharper and maybe the hot spot of light could have been avoided in the actual droplet...
