Hi , just thought I'd share some of our Holiday Photo's.
As a trip of a lifetime, our holiday in South Africa with our son who lives there was truly fantastic. Took many photo's and visited most of the big tourist attractions.
I've put a personal collection on Photobucket and feel free to visit, comment or ask any questions. Hope you find them interesting.

Thanks Debbie and Lensbaby, we didn't quite know what to expect but what we had was a wonderful holiday, met many friendly people and as for the value and food, just amazing. The scenery is something else and what I've posted is just a very small sample.

Regards and wishing all a Very Happy Christmas.

Janine posted photos of this same place, and I have wanted to go ever since. It looks like a beautiful place to live. This may sound like a dumb question, and I apologize, but is it safe to go there? (Janine sorry if I already asked you this - I don't remember) I love the photos. How gorgeous.

Hi Lensbaby, I can honestly say we never felt threatened at any time, accepting our Son was our tour guide and he has lived there for 2 years. Yes, like most modern societies, there are places one needs to be careful, like going into a township sporting flash camera gear (we only took a small P&S when visiting one township).
Night time is when one has to be careful and like any city know where your going. Apart from above we experienced warm hospitality , exceptional value in eating out etc and the scenery is breathtaking. weather was 30Plus for our 3 weeks, sunshine all the way. Assuming our Son stays on in Capetown area, we can see ourselves going back over, lots more to see.
Regards
