I realize I am not in the same league as you all are but the following photo came off as I visualized it ....yet I need some advice as to wheher to leaveit as is, or to crop out about half of the water.Thanks in advance.

We are all at different levels here, complete beginners (like me) to the more advanced/experienced.
I really like the picture, the colours are very good,I personally like the extra sea in the picture.

I also like the water in the picture, but I could also see the picture looking great with some of it cropped. I was thinking a little above the longest blade of brown grass. I quickly cropped it in PhotoShop (I don't know if that's a photo-faux-pas, so please forgive me if it is :)).

I'd suggest playing with it, and depending on what you want your focus of the picture to be, either keeping the water as-is, or cutting it out. Also, I'm sure if you wanted more of your focus to be on the water, cutting out some of the grass wouldn't hurt.

I like this photo also, but I would want to crop just the very top of the water, so that it isn't a 50/50 land/water photo. I would make it more land to water ratio. Just my humble suggestion.

I personally like your original photo - without being cropped. I think the sea is an asset to the photo both in colour and texture, especially with the little white tufts from the wind.
